Arctic Ice Bar
The Arctic Ice Bar (Yliopistonkatu 5) is both an experience as well as a sight. Indoors it is -5 degrees all through the year and the walls are built of thick ice cubes. Upon entry to the Icebar guests are given a warm cape and gloves to wear. Vodka based drinks are served at the bar.
Microbreweries in Suomenlinna and Kamppi
The Suomenlinna Brewery, Ravintola Panimo, is a high-quality pub and restaurant situated in the Jetty Barracks just a few steps from the ferry landing. In addition to great food, the restaurant serves its own range of seasonal beers.
Other microbreweries in Helsinki include Teerenpeli (Olavinkatu 2) and Bruuveri in the Kamppi Shopping Centre (Urho Kekkosen katu 1).
Ride the pub tram – only in Helsinki!
The Spårakoff pub tram is one of a kind – an historic tram that has been converted into a pub. Operating along the main tram routes in Helsinki past the city’s most famous sights, the ride takes around 40 minutes to complete a loop. The interior of the tram is decorated in classic pub style with mahogany and brass, with seating for 30 customers to enjoy the fun atmosphere. Spårakoff can be hired for private functions throughout the year.
