Helsinki’s coolest record shops can be found on Viiskulma (Five Corners), a veritable Bermuda Triangle of world music. Digelius has a fantastic collection of rare jazz albums, Eronen sells soul and reggae, and Lifesaver specialises in hiphop-, soul- ja disco vinyl, as well as new drum&bass, tekno and house.

Another cluster of record shops is located around the Hakaniemi and Kallio districts. Check out Black & White (Toinen linja 1), Fatty Sounds Record Store, Jazz & Soul, Hippie Shake Records (Hämeentie 1) and Goofin Records (Hämeentie 46).

Classical music lovers should try Fuga (Kaisaniemenkatu 7) in the Kaisaniemi district.
