Bloggers charmed by wintry Helsinki
A group of forty international travel bloggers visited Helsinki in January. Nordic Bloggers' Experience, the largest travel bloggers' event organised in Finland, offered bloggers inspiring winter experiences also in Helsinki.
The Nordic Bloggers’ Experience was organised by Visit Helsinki, Visit Finland and the Nordic Travel Fair Matka. The programme included visiting destinations in Finland, Tallinn and Stockholm, and also seminars at the Nordic Travel Fair Matka.
Local delicacies and winter activities
The bloggers got to see and experience Finland in many ways and they could choose their programme according to their own interests. Visit Helsinki arranged a versatile programme for the visiting NBE-bloggers in Helsinki.
The specialties of local food culture were introduced through city orienteering, and the bloggers got to taste local flavours at Hietalahti market hall, restaurants Lasipalatsi and Ask as well as Fazer café.
Winter activities charmed the bloggers who tested curling at the Ice Park, Nordic walking in the Kaisaniemi park and had a tango lesson outdoors by the Töölö Bay.
In addition, the bloggers were offered inspiring experiences of Finnish design among others in a workshop organised by Made in Kallio.
Finland inspiring bloggers
The bloggers' trip will produce visibility for Finland also in the future as their experiences are converted into postings, pictures and video clips on their blogs and other online sites. The NBE bloggers have approximately 2 million followers and in addition to that, their postings spread via other channels.
The programme was one of a kind and the results are remarkable. With a search for #NBEFinland you can find over 800 pictures in Instagram. On Twitter the letter combination NBE is found in over 3,000 tweets, which reach over one million twitter users.
The Nordic Bloggers’ Experience programme was realized by Innastus Oy in cooperation with the German travel blogger Sebastian Canaves.
