Helsinki Helper tourist guides
During summer season the Helsinki Helpers provide numerous tips on interesting sights, events, restaurants, shopping venues and various travel services. The Helpers begin their work on Helsinki Day 12 June.
The Helsinki Helpers, who are easily identified by their green vests, patrol the inner city and cruise harbours in the summer from June until the end of August. The Helpers also provide tourist information in the Market Square “Info Container”.
Helsinki Helpers provide both visitors and residents of the city with numerous tips on interesting sights, events, restaurants, shopping venues and various travel services. In addition, Helsinki Helpers will be handing out brochures and maps as well as the Helsinki Help coupon booklet, which includes discounts for various shops, museums and restaurants in the city centre.
Helsinki Helpers have provided tourist information in Helsinki since 1994. This summer marks the 20th anniversary of the Helsinki Helper project.
