Skating in Helsinki

Helsinki offers great opportunities for enjoying a diverse range of winter activities. Ice skating in Helsinki is possible in seven artificial skating rinks around town: at the Rautatientori Icepark (Railway square), in Kallio, Käpylä, Pukinmäki, Oulunkylä, Kontula and Lassila.

Natural skating rinks are among others Johanneksen kenttä (Merimiehenkatu 2), Kaisaniemen kenttä (Kaisaniementie 1-3) and
Väinämöisen kenttä (Etu-Töölö, Väinämöisenkatu 4-6). In some of the rinks you can also play ice hockey.

Tip!

The Finnish Ice Hockey League and KHL season stretches from September to April. Matches can be watched at Helsinki Ice Hall and Hartwall Arena.
