The Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa had emergency units for children at the Children´s Hospital, Hyvinkää Hospital, Jorvi Hospital, Länsi-Uusimaa Hospital and Porvoo Hospital.
You can phone the telephone health service +358 (0)9 310 10023 24/7 all year round. Service is given in Finnish, Swedish and English by professional nurses with long experience in health care. The service costs the price of a normal telephone call.

The Children’s Hospital has wards for pediatrics and pediatric surgery, an anesthesia and operating unit, two intensive care units, several outpatient clinics plus supporting activities. Usually a referral is required, with the exception of cases of emergency.

The City of Helsinki’s emergency services are also located at the Children’s Hospital. The doctors are from the city’s health stations.
